About the lowering of the Mt. Asama-yama eruption emergency level
・On August 7, 2019, a small-scale eruption occurred at Mt. Asama-yama located on the border of Gunma and Nagano prefectures. The eruption emergency level was raised to level 3 but was lowered to level 2 at 11:00 AM on August 19, 2019. The no-entry radius was set to roughly 2 kilometers from the mouth of the volcano.

・Lodging facilities, tourist establishments, and transportation in Gunma Prefecture will continue to operate and run as usual. Visitors can tour and travel as usual.
